History Print Workshops

Families are invited to take part in our print workshops with local Second World War events as a theme. Children can learn both about the history of printing and their local history while creating their own piece of local art. Workshops are from 10.30 to 12am and 1.30 to 3pm. Ideal for 5-12 year olds. Booking is essential and donations are welcome. Adult supervision is requested.

Know your Place will be leading a Local History discovery walk for local families. There will be the opportunity to learn about the local area and find out about some of the old buildings you see every day. Come and try your hand at traditional washing with our 1905 Mangle. have a go at each aspect of washing clothes from before the 1950s. Washing, scrubbing, using the mangle and hanging up clothes.
