Malcolm Watkins will explore the burial grounds at Birdlip in Gloucestershire where the remains of three female skeletons and grave goods were found, one of which some scholars believe may be the remains of Boudicca, a queen of the British Celtic Iceni tribe.

Visitors are welcome to bring in their recent archaeological finds, artefacts or unusual objects from home for the experts from the Portable Antiquities Scheme to identify. The event is led by the Portable Antiquities Scheme at Yate & district Heritage Centre.
The Portable Antiquities Scheme is a voluntary programme run by the UK Government to record increasing numbers of small finds of archaeological interest found by members of the public.
