Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

Yate & Heritage Heritage Centre supported by Yate Town Council and Engage are hosting the Yate Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. The day will have a clear 1950s theme throughout and take place on St Mary's Green in the historic heart of Yate.

There will be traditional entertainment through the day including Westerleigh Brass Band, 12.15pm and 1.30pm,  the Panama Jazz Band, 2.15pm and 3.15pm, 1950s storytelling 1pm, 2pm and 3pm plus contemporary dance from St Paul's School at 1pm and Country Dancing from Raysfield Junior School at 1.15pm. 

Between 2pm and 3pm there will be a free 1950s style Sports Day for children of different ages with traditional events.

At 3pm there will be a wonderful 1950s free street party for children up to 12 with 1950s style food and refreshments.   Please book for this.

Throughout the day there will also be an historic jubilee display and film showings of past celebrations and the Coronation.

Also, stalls & numerous family activities.

4pm Grand Jubilee prize raffle draw in the afternoon with star prizes.
