St George's Day Celebrations

A fantastic day of entertainment and enjoyment is promised for the 2016 St George Day celebrations. We promise some of the best in English inspired folk and Morris Dancing performances plus entertainment from local youth groups. An array of activities and stalls with a history and community theme will be there with support from St Mary's Church, School and the White Lion.

Itinerary: - 10.15 St George procession

St Mary's Green: - 10.45am Opening with Mayor of Yate and Luke Hall MP. 11am Thornbury Town Band, 11.30am St Mary's School Choir, 11.50am St George Demonstration, 12.05am, Whiskey Headed Buddies (Folk), 12.40am Thornbury Town Band, 1.15pm Redds Dance and Theatre, 1.40pm Apollo Wind Band, 2.10pm Rag Morris, 2.30pm St George Rugby Awards,  2.45pm St George 3.00pm Whiskey Headed Buddies, 3.30pm Acro Gymnastics, 3.50pm Rag Morris.

Yate Heritage Centre: - 12am Dark Tales of Gloucestershire (folk and storytelling), 1pm Professor Fillibuster (Punch and Judy), 2pm Dark Tales of Gloucestershire, 3pm Professor Fillibuster
