Discover the wonderful world of renowned photographer Murray Dowding, who lived and worked in Yate and Chipping Sodbury from the late 19th to the mid 20th century. This display illustrates the wide range of photograph he took of the Yate and Sodbury area in the first half of the 20th century. Without Dowding's images, we would have little of the historical record we can enjoy today. The display also features farming and retail artefacts from Dowding's time in the early 20th century.
