St George Celebrations 2017 (All day)

Yate & District Heritage Centre proudly presents our 2017 St George Celebrations. Our St George event will feature the best of English style entertainment including Morris Dancing, mumming, brass bands, folk, music hall, historic re-enactors, traditional crafts, workshops, refreshments, community stalls and much more.

Itinerary 10.15am St George Procession  - Yate Shopping Centre

St Mary's Green: - 10.45 Grand Opening, 11am Thornbury Town Band, 11.30am Redds Dance & Theatre, 11.55am Sea Shanty Group, 12.15 The IneptiTudors (Tudor Act), 12.40am Thornbury Town Band, 1.10pm Sea Shanties, 1.30pm St George Demonstration, 1.50pm Apollo Wind Band, 2.15pm Rag Morris, 2.35, St George Rugby Awards, 2.45 IneptiTudors, 3.05pm Apollo Wind Band, 3.25pm Acro-Gymnastics, 3.50pm Rag Morris 

Yate & District Heritage Centre: - 12am Dark Tales of Gloucestershire (Spaniel Theatre), 1pm Professor Fillibuster (Punch & Judy), 2pm More Dark Tales of Gloucestershire, 3pm Punch & Judy.

This free event is funded by Yate Town and South Gloucestershire Councils.
