St George Celebrations

Yate's annual all day St George Celebrations will shortly be with us. Another full day of traditional entertainment, and more activities than ever before, plus stalls and refreshments make this the perfect St George event. Everyone welcome. Free admission. Funded by Yate Town Council and Engage (South Gloucestershire Council).

Itinerary    10am St George Procession                                                       

St Mary's Green

  • 10.30am Opening.
  • 10.40am Ken's Ukes - U3A  Ukelele Band                
  • 11am Thornbury Town (Brass) Band. 
  • 11.35am Yate Star Twirlers.      
  • 11.55am Tim & Sue Brine Folk Singers.  
  • 12.30am Acro-Gymnastics.    
  • 12.50am Thornbury Town Band. 
  • 1.25pm REDDS Stage School.            
  • 1.45pm Somerset Morris.  
  • 2.10pm ST George Award Ceremony.        
  • 2.25pm Tim & Sue Brine.  
  • 3pm Parkour Gmnastics.                        
  • 3.15pm REDDS Stage School  
  • 3.35pm Somerset Morris.

Yate Heritage Centre

  • 12am St George storytelling. 
  • 1pm Professor Fillibuster Punch & Judy.  
  • 2pm St George Storytelling.                           
  • 3pm Professor Fillibuster

St Mary's Church 

  • 11am -  2pm Tower Tours

St Mary's School

  • 10am - 1pm School Rugby Tournament
