Friends of Yate & District Heritage Centre

The Heritage Centre has a committed and enthusiastic Friends Group who primarily raise funds but also provide practical back-up to the Centre.

Why become a Friend of Yate Heritage Centre?

Membership of the Friends provides an opportunity to meet the people involved with the work of the Centre and become involved in specific projects which may be of interest to them. Friends are invited to events at the Centre, some of which are not open to the public such as previews, exhibitions and parties.

Free Entry to Lectures

They have free entry to the lectures, which take place every month and have priority use of all research material and free photocopying and scanning facilities.

Newsletter and Friends Bulletin

Members receive the Heritage Centre Newsletter and Friends Bulletin which keep them informed on all the events and activities taking place throughout the year.

Social Events

The Friends hold regular fund raising coffee mornings, and run various stalls, e.g. tea, cakes, books, jewellery etc. at the Heritage Centre community events. On the social side, The Friends organise regular tours and visits to various venues throughout the year and usually have a concession against the cost of the trip.

How do I become a Friend?
